Why We Are Upset…Part 2
In my last post, I shared a post from Facebook, and answered the accusations of this so called Christian. In this post, I am going to refute his next point……
“Absolutely nothing has changed in the Bible. God’s law is exactly the same as it was before yesterday.”
I agree with this. Nothing about God’s word has changed. We are to stand strong against the corruption of the world.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
We are to be salt, so we have a right, and more than that, a mandate to stand against corruption. The Holy Spirit, in this verse, makes it clear what He thinks of those who put their own ways and opinions in place of what Gods word clearly mandates: “thenceforth good for nothing” Is that we as Christians want the Lord to say about us? I’m not giving my opinion, I’m stating what the word says–straight up, no mixture, no watering, no sugarcoating, and no holding back. This is what it means to be salt and light. Have you ever put salt on an open wound? Have you ever bitten your tongue or the inside of your cheek? How does it feel when you eat something salty after doing that? I have…it burns. Salt is supposed to do that. It means it is cleaning that wound.
Before refrigeration, salt was used as a preservative. Why? Because it worked, it did what it was mandated to do. If we follow the ways of the world, we will become like the world. The world’s system is of Satan, and as children of God we are not to be conformed to the world, but be transformed in the image of Christ, by the renewing of our minds.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
